Helmut Eisenkolb joins the General Management of Würth Industrie Service
On the occasion of the anniversary of “25 years as an industry partner”, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG has expanded the General Management: Helmut Eisenkolb, Head of Logistics at Würth Industrie Service, will be appointed to the General Management on 1st July 2024 to join Martin Jauss, Chairman of the General Management, Stefan Reuss, General Manager IT and Digital Solutions, Ralf Gehringer, General Manager Finance, and Marcus Otto, General Manager Purchase. After holding positions for the Würth Group in Germany, China and Malaysia, he was most recently responsible for the Logistics department at Würth Industrie Service since 2017. The company is broadening the management responsibility while at the same time strengthening its logistical core competency as a comprehensive C-Parts partner.

Over 2,000 modules on 4,860 square metres with an output of over 1,000 kWp. The new photovoltaic system from Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co KG at the company headquarters in Bad Mergentheim stands out with these numbers. With impressive dimensions at record level, the system is one of the largest photovoltaic façade systems in the D-A-CH region. The photovoltaic giant has been recently operational and is making a decisive contribution to sustainable energy supply at the company location.

Solid resonance – Würth Industrial Network closed the financial year 2023 with turnover of EUR 2.324 billion worldwide – of which over EUR 816 million are of Würth Industrie Service Germany.
The Würth Group, the global market leader in the development, manufacture and sale of assembly and fastening materials, generated sales of EUR 20.4 billion for the first time in the company's history according to its preliminary annual financial statements for 2023, thus setting a new record. Würth Industrial NetWORK, or WINWORK® for short, is also continuing to grow and recorded sales of EUR 2.324 billion in the financial year 2023. Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. Visionary, courageous, consistent: Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co KG, the European market leader in supply of small parts to industrial customers, is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The company’s anniversary marks a significant milestone in the history of the company, which was founded on 13th January 1999 as an independent subsidiary of the Würth Group with just 80 employees on an abandoned 120-hectare barracks in Bad Mergentheim - now known as the Würth Industrial Park. The C-Parts expert has grown continuously over the years and now employs around 1,800 people in Germany and around 6,600 in over 40 countries worldwide.

Storage and retrieval machines successfully brought in – Würth Industrie Service's high-bay warehouse takes shape!
46 metres long, weighing 22,5 tonnes, manoeuvred 100 metres over the roofs: A true work requiring precision, weighing several tons on the heights of Drillberg. The excavations for building a new automated high-bay warehouse with additional 59,000 storage spaces covering more than 4,000 square metres started as early as July 2022. Last Monday, 16th October 2023, the first storage and retrieval machines were brought in to take over the automated storage and retrieval of pallets in the warehouse. Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG thus has its sights firmly set on commissioning in April 2024.

More than 500 participants, 21 countries, 10 disciplines: The 6th Invictus Games held from 9th to 16th September 2023 in Düsseldorf, and thus for the first time in Germany, were a tremendous success. The focus here is on offering social recognition to wounded, injured and ill soldiers as well as on their recovery and rehabilitation. KG grew by 17,9 percent by achieving a turnover of EUR 771,5 million. Milestone reached: Würth Industrie Service welcomes its 1,000th apprentice.
On Thursday, 1st September 2022, more than 75 young adults started their apprenticeship and dual education at Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG. The company is already known as one of the largest employers of the region in the Tauber Franconia’s town of Bad Mergentheim and is celebrating a historic milestone of welcoming its 1,000th apprenticeship in the company’s history, Felix Grummt. Würth Industrie Service expands its state-of-the-art logistics centre for industrial supplies in Europe – ground-breaking ceremony for the new high-bay warehouse at the headquarters.
The expansion of the state-of-the-art logistics centre for industrial supplies in Europe has laid the foundation for the further growth of Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG, both at national and international level. The excavations for building a new automated high-bay warehouse with additional 59,000 storage spaces covering more than 4,000 square metres started at the end of July 2022. The official ground-breaking ceremony was held on Thursday, 4th August, 2022 marking the symbolic go-ahead for the construction. Around 30 invited guests, including Nina Warken, Member of the German Bundestag CDU/CSU, Christoph Schauder, District Administrator of Main-Tauber-Kreis, Manuela Zahn, 1st Deputy Mayor of Bad Mergentheim, Marcel Stephan, Head of Department for Economic Development & Urban Marketing of Bad Mergentheim, the planners and engineers involved and the Management of Würth Industrie Service, celebrated the milestone of the company. The commissioning is planned for April 2024.

Fulfilling the objective of greenhouse gas-neutral energy supply on the hills of Drillberg: Würth Industrie Service commissions an additional photovoltaic system.
Climate change and the consequential natural disasters have already controlled the world, thus stressing the urgency of achieving climate neutrality even more. The use of renewable energy instead of fossil fuels is the most sought-after solution on the path to achieving greenhouse gas-neutrality. Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG, an expert in the field of C-parts management for manufacturing industry customers, intends to lead by example and not only compensate for the rising CO2 footprint but also reduce it sustainably at the Bad Mergentheim location by implementing smart solutions. The company is contributing towards climate protection with the recent commissioning of an additional photovoltaic system. The sprawling plant covering an area of 2,500 square metres has an output of around 480 kWp, which equates to an estimated output of around 415,000 kWh per year. This output is enough to supply around 140 single-family households with electricity per year. At the Drillberg location, multiple photovoltaic systems are currently operational with a combined output of over 900 kWp and generated volume of over 800,000 kWh.

Fifth Expert Forum C-Parts Management at Würth Industrial Park
With the onset of pandemic, attendance events were forced to be put on hold and held online. At last, this seems to be a thing of the past. On Tuesday, 21st June and Wednesday, 22nd June 2022, more than 375 participants from more than 10 countries gathered together for the fifth Expert Forum C-Parts Management at Würth Industrial Park in Bad Mergentheim to discuss trends, innovations and global challenges in the industry. Among the top speakers there were speakers from ISS World Services A/S, Lauda Dr. R. Wobser GmbH Co. KG, Vitra Deutschland GmbH and ALTREX B.V. as well as Prof. Dr. Michael Braungart, who has co-developed the Cradle to Cradle principle. According to Prof. Dr. Braungart, the principle applies to all products and is based on perfect cycles, so that ultimately there is no waste.

On 20th and 21st October, 2021, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG conducted its fourth Expert Forum C-Parts Management with around 230 participants (out of which 160 attended in person and 70 attended digitally). This year, the company celebrated the premiere and brought together the decision-makers in a completely new format as a hybrid event – either onsite at Bad Mergentheim or digitally independent of location. True to the motto “Impossible yesterday. Real today. Smart tomorrow!”, the focus was on exchanging the market trends in industry 4.0, digitalisation, automation and networking in the industrial sector as well as in logistics. Würth Industrie Service closes the fiscal year 2020 with 536 million euros of turnover
Despite the market conditions being affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG was able to achieve a turnover of 536 million euros in the fiscal year 2020. “Last year was particularly challenging in all aspects.” states Rainer Bürkert, Member of the Central Managing Board of the Würth Group. “The Coronavirus forced us into a temporary lockdown. We had to take extraordinary steps to maintain operational efficiency in all of the business units, ensure delivery capacity of our logistics as well as fully support our systems in C-Parts management and, above all protect our employees.” clarifies Mr. Bürkert.

Quite often one only realizes that something has changed when taking a look back. This also applies to Würth Industrie Service. A lot has happened ever since its inception on 13 January 1999. Before, it was the Industry Division of the parent company, Adolf Würth GmbH & Co. KG in Künzelsau, and only had 88 employees on the payroll. Very early on, Reinhold Würth realized the growth potential of catering to industry customers. Sales record 2017: Würth Industrie Service exceeds EUR 500 million mark
Würth Industrie Service GmbH & Co. KG can look back on an exceptionally successful year 2017. Reporting double-digit growth of 11 %, the customers’ reliable partner for C parts management generated sales of EUR 504 million for the very first time. The number of employees rose to 1,489. In 2018, Würth Industrie Service strives to achieve similar growth rates, mainly investing in staff and the further development of digital solutions in C-Parts management. More information
